The holistic approach to scuba diving
Water is the source of life on planet earth. It is also the first element we humans move in as a fetus. Deep inside us is the memory of feeling safe being immersed in a liquid enviroment. Yet, like all mammals - even dolphins and whales -, we enter this world with the instinct to hold our breath when our face is underwater. To conquer it while scuba diving, you have to empty your brain and just breathe. So you are actually meditating, even if you don’t consciously do so. It is characteristic of scuba diving that you simply forget to think and there lies its therapeutic potential. The air you carry with you gives you time to feel the energy coming for the deep sea, you will feel it even through a suit and it will empower you for many hours above water. The better your diving skills, the more you can relax and feel the spiritual side of scuba diving.
As your buddy and your instructor it is my passion to safely guide you to a holistic experience of scuba diving. This means that no matter how advanced your certification is, I will be looking for the weak spots and give you my opinion. Even to a total novice I will show the right habits to aquire. Every Open Water Diver graduate has trained with us the discipline, buoyancy and style basics for his future dive career. I am on a mission to make safe divers, as it is the basis of all other experience and feeling underwater. And then, once you trust yourself and your equipment, your journey in literally a new dimension can start.
